I’m Dawn, a 29-year-old flight test engineer, traveller, runner, triathlete, sister, aunt, pilot, hiker, aspiring photog/writer/polyglot/baker/explorer/tbd.  Starting mid-summer 2012 I will be taking a career break to travel the world.  With only a rough outline in mind, the real plan is to soak up as many experiences as possible and live out my dream.  I will no doubt be experimenting with what brings me happiness (whether that means a clean hostel bed or scuba diving with sharks).

    Hi Dawn,

My name is KC Owens, I’m a college student and I love to travel! While cruising the Internet, I found your site and really enjoyed reading your posts. I have been to countries all over Europe with just my backpack and a camera. Since I am a college student and I have significant bills, it can be difficult to find ways to travel the world. However, I have done this several times, with less than ten pounds of luggage and while on a college dime!

I was hoping that you would allow me to write a post for your site to share my tips and tricks with your readers. I put a lot of time into my traveling, it is my biggest passion and I would love to inspire others by sharing my stories, mistakes and triumphs. I look forward to hearing from you!

    Best,

    KC Owens

Hi KC! Sorry for the delay – was hiking around Nepal. I appreciate the interest in a guest post, but right now my blog is geared to my family and friends so they see what I’m up to on my trip. If I ever get more readers and expand the scope, I’ll hit you up!
      Cheers,
      Dawn

  5. Dawn! I just read this, I am so happy for you. It sounds like a big opportunity. I do love to travel and in fact, everytime I make a map out of the city. I have one of Rome, among others, that may be useful to you in the future. Check it here and love to hear you are such an explorer 😀 http://duranvirginia.wordpress.com/2013/04/05/architecture-planning-a-trip-to-rome/
