This is a Komodo Dragon on Komodo Island, Indonesia. Komodos actually exist on 5 islands in Indonesia! These lizards are infamous for their dangerous bite. It’s actually the immense amount of bacteria in their saliva that is so deadly. I tromped around Rinca and Komodo islands during my visit, but the National Park guides weren’t allowed to take our group too far on Rinca as one had been attacked the week before. Doobeedoo. I couldn’t shake the sense that they were always watching me. Just look at those eyes!
