Running Around The World #2: Wanaka, NZ

With just a quick overnight stop in Wanaka on the way to Queenstown (less than 24 hrs), I woke up around sunrise to hit the pavement and see the area.  The goal was to reach the top of Mount Iron along a trail (est 1.5 RT walking and 250m high), but there was time to spare and I just kept going.  2 hours and 15 minutes of running later I was back at the hostel in time for a shower, breakfast and emails before depositing myself onto the bus to Queenstown!

(One of these pics might be a post-run reward…farm stand vanilla ice cream mixed on the spot with fresh fruit!)

    CHUR!!!
Nice shot of the lake. Enjoy Q-Town. See if you can cable swing from a helicopter while bungy jumping into a canyon 🙂

Any plans to check out Milford Sound or The Catlins? You know NZ has Penguins to.
